:::Exciting News from Daisy Design:::
Your dream landscape is now available in Colour!
I received my software upgrade in the fall and it was burning hole through my shelf. I was itching to learn the new features but it had to wait until the season ended. So now, knee deep in snow, the learning curve has leveled out and the designs are looking good!
This a great time to hire me to get started on the 2010 season. If you have property survey and a few photos we can get the process started. Email me at jeannette@daisydesign.ca
:::More Congress Pics:::
As it turns out my phone lens was dirty. They all came out blurry. That's what I get for forgetting my camera! The display above was at the aquascape booth. It shows a great way to have a water feature in your garden without a pond. And bring some vertical height to what otherwise may be a low lying garden bed.
Many of the booths have TVs above the outdoor fireplaces. While the ones on display you can buy outdoor screens Sunbrite is the most popular brand:
The water feature in the front is wimpy. And I apologize in advance to taking a picture of that sales guy's behind (heehee) but, I like the pattern of the pavers on the floor...
Placing coping in between each natural stone slab is a fantastic look. I wish I thought of it!
I love how they mixed different colours of natural stone tiles together to make the floor.
Those are the best pictures from my phone. Congress keeps getting better and better. Next year, I will have to stay for more than 2 days!

:::Just got back from Congress 2010 and the Landscape Designer Conference:::
And every year this conference gets better and better. It's a four day event but I was only able to stay for 2 days :( I did take a whole bunch of photos on my phone and I will post most of them tomorrow.
This one I loved because I have been wanting to use stone seating for a while and with the privacy screen it creates a garden room where the features will stand up to our weather conditions. If positioned properly in your landscape (for example, southwest) you can create an intimate sheltered space to extend your living outdoors.
